We sat down with Roland Radu, founder of Natreve, to talk about the ethos and impact of Natreve and more.
Tell us about Natreve.
We are a company that stands for everything we say we do. We want to do good, and we are making a significant impact. We are the world’s first plastic and carbon neutral wellness company.
We have prevented the equivalent of over 23,000,000 plastic bottles from entering our oceans and have supported vulnerable communities to better their lives by providing economic empowerment through our partnership with Plastic Bank.

Which of Natreve’s products is your favorite, and why?
I use our Vegan Peanut Butter Parfait or Whey French Vanilla Wafer Sundae Protein Powder and Immune Strength every day!
When I travel on business, I can’t live without Sleep Peaceful as it helps with sleep and jet lag. I am most excited about our New MOOLESS launch, which is revolutionary and truly a game-changer in the protein space. Cookies & Cream flavor is phenomenal. We use real cookie pieces!
What is your proudest milestone?
I have so many. Getting national accounts like Whole Foods, Sprouts, and CVS in our first year is unheard of, and it confirmed we’re going something right. For that, I am so grateful.
Who or what do you look to for inspiration?
People that changed the world inspire me, the trailblazers that took risks, weren’t afraid to fail, and went against the grain.
Travel inspires me, and you learn so much through different cultures. Food, music, and passion are aspects of life I hope everyone experiences throughout their life.
What is a flavor or product you’ve tried to make but didn’t work out? What did you learn from the testing process?
Early on, we tried to break some norms. We tried to replicate the Banana Split. Theoretically, this would have been phenomenal…if we nailed it.
Who doesn’t love a Banana Split?
Interestingly enough, we were pretty close, but it started to taste too artificial. We would have had to use artificial flavors and sweeteners, and I was unwilling to make that compromise.
What is a flavor you wish you had in your product line?
Banana Split, LOL .
If your brand had an alter ego, what would it be?
Wonder Woman! With super strength, speed, and endurance, we would be able to move towards sustainability at a rapid speed.
If you could give one of your products to anyone – past or present – to try, who would it be? Why?
Steve Jobs would find MOOLESS technology with Perfect Day fascinating, and he would be pretty honest whether he liked it! Also, Harry Styles. My daughter is in love with him, so I would be a pretty cool dad if they knew Harry tried my products!
And finally, what is your vision of a kinder, greener future?
Our vision is to become the most sustainable wellness company in the world.
Through our plastic and carbon neutral initiatives and by developing boundary-breaking products that use innovative technologies, our goal is to create sustainable products that exceed our customer’s expectations on quality, taste, and sustainability.
Gone are the days when sustainable products had to taste like cardboard or could only be derived from a select few ingredients. With Natreve, you no longer have to choose between yourself and the planet.
