IFMA COEX Conference
We’re excited to share our recent experience at the IFMA COEX (Chain Operators Exchange) in Tampa, Florida. This conference is a must-attend for supply chain, culinary, marketing, and management leaders looking to energize their businesses with innovative ideas in the food away from home industry. With this year’s attendance up 25%, we were thrilled to make so many new connections with leaders in the industry.
The agenda was jam-packed with exciting events, from speakers to networking activities and opportunities to sample some of the latest innovations. We particularly enjoyed the Operator Incubators, where suppliers shared prototypes of their latest inventions, and the IFMA Menu-a-thon, where we tasted some incredible new products. And to keep us fueled, the Innovation Café served delicious bites and sweets. Attendees were able to sample products made with Perfect Day’s sustainable whey protein in cookies, our cream cheese, and Coolhaus’ ice cream.
The highlight of the conference was the 15-minute speed-dating style meetings. We had the chance to connect with some of the industry’s key players, including Shake Shack, Dairy Queen, Fat Brands, and Wendy’s. We networked with Norwegian Cruise Lines, Ingredion, 37th Street Bakery, American Cookie Company, and Great Northern Bakery. It was exciting to imagine the possibilities of how our sustainable whey protein could be used in famous products such as a Wendy’s Frosty, Dairy Queen Blizzard, Johnny Rocket’s ice cream shake, or a chocolate chip cookie made with our egg replacer from the American Cookie Company. With the power of our technology, we can keep enjoying the foods we love but make them in new ways using fewer resources.
The conference included two 45-minute sessions with representatives from Wendy’s, Culvers, Artic Circle, Johnny Rockets, Checkers, and Biscuitville. These operators actively participated in giving feedback on adopting innovative products in their operations.
Attending the IFMA COEX was an exhilarating and informative experience, and we can’t wait to see what’s in store at next year’s conference.
